City of Pittsfield announces "Make Your Own Summer of Fun" activities

The City of Pittsfield Department of Community Development Recreation Program announces that beginning Tuesday, June 29, “Make Your Own Summer of Fun” activities will be held at various city parks through August 26.

“Make Your Own Summer of Fun” offers a variety of recreation activities to Pittsfield children at no cost. Drop in, say hello, pick up supplies for a fun summer activity and/or participate when a special activity is scheduled.

The summer activities begin Tuesday, June 29 at the Common with Make Your Own Book/Journal from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 1 will be Draw/Color Your Own Masterpiece at Durant Park from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The program will run for nine weeks and rotate between several parks. An accompanying adult is recommended when a participant picks up materials or participates in a special activity.
