City of Pittsfield launches new campaign, Pittsfield Recycles - The Right Way

The City of Pittsfield is pleased to announce a new recycling campaign, Pittsfield Recycles – The Right Way, which will run through early August.

The campaign kicked off on Monday, June 21, with a video featuring Commissioner Ricardo Morales, of the city’s Department of Public Services and Utilities. The video is available here.

Through the summer, the initiative will include a series of helpful tips and resources to promote good recycling habits. This information will be available on the City Hall Facebook page.

In addition to social media promotions, the campaign will also feature three billboards throughout the city, a wrap on a BRTA bus, and postcards, which will be available at local establishments through the summer.

“We know that many people in Pittsfield are already recycling. That’s a great thing and we know they do it because they care about our city,” said Commissioner Morales.

However, we know that when recycling is not done properly, it actually contributes to more waste and higher disposal-related costs. With this new campaign, we’ll share with the public various tips showing them how to recycle correctly.”
